Ellington Lab 20th Anniversary Reunion
Andy Ellington started up his lab at Indiana University in 1992, and moved it to the University of Texas at Austin in 1998. Hundreds of young scientists started their careers there, including many who later entered other professions. The 20th anniversary presents a unique opportunity for "Ellingtonians" to catch up with old friends, meet some new ones, reminisce, learn about recent breakthroughs, have some fun and do a little professional networking. A few might even see their years of toil from a whole new perspective.
The reunion will take place over Memorial Day Weekend (May 26-28, 2012) in Austin, Texas. Over 100 alumni and guests are expected to attend this event, so it promises to be legendary. I play a modest role in a small but dedicated organizing committee. The links above describe our current plans, which are likely to change as logistical challenges are solved. We welcome your suggestions, and ask for volunteers to help with a myriad of small but essential tasks. We also seek sponsors, and offer to them an unparalleled opportunity to spread their messages through a network of talented and influential alumni.
